The end of this beautiful exchange draws near !

First of all I want to thank everyone who gave me this great chance, my teachers at home, the teachers from Bright and my families.

Last week I was at the ocean in Apollo Bay with my class, it was beautiful and I saw Koalas and was surfing in the ocean. On Wednesday we all camped near Koalas, we had a beautiful campfire and I found many friends over there. It was a great trip. I have one more week with my host family and friends here, I'm very sad that it will soon go back home as I've really settled in well here.

But I'm looking forward to be able to report personally everything.

Yours,
Jennifer

Apollo Bay

Hi Bonnie

How are you? We are fine. We were at a camp last week. It was in Apollo Bay, that is in Australia. It was so awesome. We set off on Monday and drove six hours in the school bus. We slept the whole way. After we had driven many curves, we saw the sea. It was such an amazing view. Everyone was put up with students from the class, only we had to stay with a teacher, because her daughter is at our ages and she speaks German and there were not enough exchange students. Charlie and Jamie were put up with a boy. At the beginning I thought "Oh my God!", how should this work. But the boy was very cool and nice and so everything worked very well. After we introduced ourselves, we went home and unpacked our stuff and went down the street to meet the other people again. We went for dinner and went with the feet into the sea. On the next day we went bush walking: 20 km in five hours! It was so hard but it was also very beautiful. We saw kolas and walked with our feet through the mud. Half way through we made a stop at the coast. It was so fantastic. In this letter there is a pictures of the coast. When we came back, we had dinner at the beach. It was really great. After this we visited a lighthouse. It was such an amazing view on the top of the lighthouse. You could go around it. The best day was Wednesday. We went kayaking. IT was so much fun and was not as easy as you could imagine. Fortunately, we all had wetsuits because the river water was ice cold. After this we went down the street for lunch. Then we went surfing. It was so hard but we had so much fun. We put all our stuff in the bus and went to the place where we camped. We unpacked our stuff and set up our tents. And then we saw a koala in the tree directly above our tent. At 7 o'clock we went to our dinner place. We made our own pizza. It was so awesome. Then we sat around the camp fire and ate marshmallows. We all went to bed very early because the last days were very exhausting. The next day we went mountain biking in the bush. It was so cool, but you had to concentrate all the time because they track was very dangerous. In the afternoon we could choose between shopping and surfing. We did a little bit of both. On the last day Dakota and Jessie slept in our house. It was so cool. When we drove home the next day as early as 9, we were very sad because the people were so cool and it was so beautiful. The bus ride was very funny and the time passed quickly. On the way back we halted at McDonald’s.
