Chriskindlemarkts

This weekend was the first weekend that I went to some Chriskindlemarkts. On Saturday I went to the Chriskindlmarkt in Rosenheim with Magdalena and some friends from school. It was very pretty and festive. We had a look around at all the differnt stalls, and ate some Schmalzgebaeck and drank some Kinderpunsch, which are very traditonal Bavarain things at Christmas time. It was just a pity that it hasn't started snowing yet.
On Sunday I went with my host mum, dad and sister to the Freilichtmuseum Glentleiten Chriskindlemarkt . The day was so beautiful and warm, very uncommon for late November in Germany. The mountain view there is so beautiful and it would of been so much enjoyable if it was snowing but I was glad to have one warm day where I didn't have to wear my winter jacket. There was volks music singing and trumpet playing and we looked in all the old houses, some which dated back 600 years or so. The stalls were also selling so many different foods and drinks, as well as many hand-drafted ornaments and decorations.
All in all it was a very good weekend, as well as a fun introduction to Christmas time in Germany.

Deutsches Schulleben

Die Schule ist sehr anders als zu Hause. Es ist eine Wirstschaftsschule, der Unterricht ist sehr verschieden zu dem in meiner Heimat. Die Schule beginnt um 5 vor 8, aber ich muss um 6 Uhr aufstehen. Ich finde das nicht gut, weil ich dann sehr müde bin. Wir haben drei Stunden und dann eine kurze Pause und dann drei weitere Stunden. Ich verstehe den Untericht nicht sehr gut und deshalb fällt es mir manchmal sehr schwer, dem Unterrichtsstoff zu folgen. Auch sind einige Schulfächer wie beispielsweise Betriebswirtschaft oder Übungsfirmenarbeit für mich absolut neu. Aber ich mag einen normalen Schultag erleben. Die Schule ist um 10 vor 13 Uhr zu Ende. Wir haben den halben Tag frei. Das ist besser für mich, weil ich so meinen Aufenthalt hier in Deutschland viel besser genießen kann. :)

Unser Tag in München

Samstag, 19.11.2011

Elisha, Steffi, und wir (Anna-Lena und Magdalena) fuhren am Samstag nach München in das Olympiazentrum. Wir sahen die Olympiahalle, die Olympiaschwimmhalle, die BMW- Welten, Sea life und den Olympiaturm. Anschliessend fuhren wir dort hoch und konnten ganz München von oben sehen. Es war ein sehr lustiger Tag.

Deutschland

Germany this year has been a different experience from last year. This year it's not so much about sightseeing, but about experiencing normal German life. It has been really fun though. I have learnt to horse ride, we have gone to ice hockey and soccer matches, gone to horse competitions, and a lot more. The weather I have not enjoyed so much and I am still holding out for it to snow! Also not understanding the Bavarain dialect has also been annoying! But all in all it has been extremely worth while.
